Description
...A great wind drew up around them, like some dream, beyond the comprehension of the three that witness the change. The stonework before them turned warm and danced to life. Cool greens seeped into the outer nooks of the new pillars and ethereal dragons, while a magenta fire sprang from within the bulwarks. The wall about the cliff turned to a misty haunt of deep maroon, that would not be stilled. The ruins upon the ground faded and were replaced overhead by an arch, built anew and adorned with scroll-work of the dragon's wings. A saffron circle flashed ablaze completing the half-ring, from which a golden light seared into the greens of the pillar and outer arch. The dias formed anew in a white marble, turned in magenta and sapphire. The dragons, head's bowed toward the gate's center, became flushed with texture, and the tips of their feathered wings burst forth in flames of orange and yellow. Then, did the dragons move. Maer gasped and Beurec stepped back. Yet, Eruch did not flinch and remained kneeling, sure and resolute.
"Fear not this gate, for this is the domain of Arda, our lord YHWH, Allfather of Valfindair", he said. "Only evil might have need to fear this place, lest you have brought it with you".
The dragons further bowed their heads as their flaming feathers, rippling in the wind, stretched to block entrance to the Gate of Heaven. The deep maroon color of the gateway turned ever darker until, from that darkness a deep space opened. The wind died and forth from the gate flowed a white and blue mist that seeped from that new world to this one. Far beyond, drew up the image of the tall, sapphire peaks of the Gilendaen, the mountains of Valfindair, beautiful beyond comprehension.
Then there appeared a figure from the deep mist of the gate. It was a woman, but unlike any woman the three had ever seen. Far taller than any man of that world, she had the hame of a fiery gold, that matched the color of the ring and the feathers that laced the dragon's wings. Love and peril filled her haunting, amethyst eyes and drew up before her being. She wore a long white robe and her beauty was beyond any they had witnessed. Beurec and Maer returned again and kneeled beside Eruch. As she reached the gate, her head was nearly as tall, yet she did not bow beneath the ring, but instead, passed through it as if it were made of air. Stopping just inside the gate, the dragons bowed their heads before her, and the young LithIlDaen trees, as if sprung to life by her coming, reached down branches to form a crown of silvery, emerald leafs atop her head, and a flowered branch reached down to caress her shoulder. She withdrew her sword and rested it against the dias, filled now with a turning water.
"Rise Eruch of Ilindaen", her voice rang out through the forest, soft, yet bold, "for you are the king of men upon this world; and mayhap the father of many generations hereafter. Valfindair is vigilant of your needs and has taken heed of your prayers. Rise now, Beurec of Waermydel and Maer, Chamber lord of High Reach, for you are known also unto the Allfather in Valfindair, whom is called Arda by his servants. I am Ithwenor, daughter of Ecseles, wife of Ethreneol, exiled Queen of LorAeDain, and I have returned to this world in the hour of your great need".
